More than 100 families who attended the information meeting organized by the University of Kyrenia Faculty of Medicine at the University of Kyrenia Grand Library Congress Hall were informed about pediatric basic life support, foreign body aspiration, bleeding, allergic reactions and poisoning.
First aid saves lives in risky situations. However, there are important differences between first aid practices to be performed to adults and children. A first aid technique that can be used for adults can pose a danger to children. University of Kyrenia Faculty of Medicine held an information meeting for parents on first aid techniques for children, within the framework of a social responsibility project.
At the meeting that held at the University of Kyrenia Grand Library Congress Hall Emergency Medicine Specialist Assist. Prof. Dr. Uğur Özkula provided practical information by using child dummies to more than 100 families on how to give first aid to children. In the event, Biochemistry Specialist Sedef Delibaş, Child Health and Diseases Specialist Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nilüfer Galip Çelik and Child Health and Diseases Specialist Assist. Prof. Dr. Seyhan Oygucu also gave information on basic life support in children, foreign body aspiration, bleeding, allergic reactions and poisoning.
