A cooperation protocol on medical education has been signed between University of Kyrenia and Ankara University

A protocol has been signed between University of Kyrenia and Ankara University to enable medical faculties to cooperate in education, training, scientific studies and cultural field. With the protocol signed by University of Kyrenia Rector Prof. Dr. İlkay Salihoğlu and Ankara University Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Ünüvar, the two universities will cooperate in medical education.

Within the scope of the signed protocol, students, after completing their medical specialization education for at least one year period at Dr. Suat Günsel University of Kyrenia Hospital, will be able to receive training at the departments and the period deemed appropriate by the relevant department of Ankara University Faculty of Medicine.

University of Kyrenia Rector Prof. Dr. İlkay Salihoğlu stated that the protocol they have signed with Ankara University, aiming at cooperation between medical faculties in education, training, scientific study and cultural field, which will make significant contributions to both universities by adding that “We have signed a very important cooperation for both students and academicians,”.

Prof. Dr. Salihoğlu underlined that the research assistants, who started their specialization training in medicine at the University of Kyrenia Faculty of Medicine, will receive training in the relevant departments of Ankara University Faculty of Medicine within the scope of the protocol.

Prof. Dr. İlkay Salihoğlu reminded that they offer the opportunity to the students to perform most of their practical training at Dr. Suat Günsel University of Kyrenia Hospital that is equipped with the latest technology and emphasized that they are pleased to cooperate with Ankara University, which has a deep-rooted history.
